Uch Sharif, Bahawalpur, Punjab

This is the shrine of Syed Jalaluddin Surkh-Posh Bukhari, the Sufi saint who settled in Uch in the 13th century and founded the Bukhari line of saints. Uch became one of the great centres of Sufism in South Asia through his family. The shrine stands among the old tombs and mosques of the town. It draws pilgrims from across the region, especially during his annual urs.
