The house of wonders

Lahore Museum is Pakistan's oldest and largest museum, on Mall Road in Lahore, Punjab. Established in 1858, it moved twice before its present building opened in 1894, designed by John Lockwood Kipling and Ram Singh in a mix of Mughal, Gothic and Victorian styles. Known locally as Ajayabghar, the house of wonders, it holds around 60,000 artefacts including Gandhara sculptures, Mughal miniatures and the historic Zamzamah gun at its entrance.
